Quynh Nhu D.
Quynh Nhu is a third-year student studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of South Florida. Originally from Vietnam, she has overcome the language barrier and grown to use her language proficiency to support her family as their English interpreter. After a period of volunteering as a virtual English teacher for the Pacific Links Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to support the development of women and youth in her home country of Vietnam, Quynh Nhu became heavily passionate about using machine learning to bridge the language barriers amongst under-represented and marginalized communities. She is currently working as an undergrad researcher training machine learning models to recognize and understand cultural and dialect nuances, aiding in the creation of more effective communication and experience within mobile devices. Following graduation, she aspires to be a machine learning researcher specializing in natural language processing.
